Shadow Bewitched

A bit of television history with the statue of Elizabeth Montgomery from the sitcom "Bewitched." An episode was shot here in Salem, Massachusetts. As many of you know, Salem has a long history with witches.

...and I love reading anything and everything about the Salem Witch Trials.

Super shadow photo!

Old Man and the Sea
Witches are rather shadowy characters, aren't they?

BOOKISH SHADOWS

Darksome shadows in my path,
You are not the Grapes of Wrath;

And yet when I hear your hums,
Something Wicked This Way Comes!

May your darkness turn to light
Like The House of Mirth, all right?

May all sadness drift away—
Send Lolita here to play!

Thanks everyone for you nice comments! This was a difficult shadow to capture. You see to the right of the the statue a straight line. That is a building. This time of year the sun is very low in the sky at this latitude. For only a few minutes I could shoot this as after that the sun would go below another set of buildings and the shadow would disappear. I'm glad I walked past this statue just at the right time.

Greaat shadow shot. Bewitched was one of my favorite shows when I was young. I still love watching it when I catch it on. I remember the shows that were filmed in Salem. Salem is a place rich with history. I am glad that you were able to capture the shadow and that you shared it with us!!
