Shadow Pear

This pear tree was brought here to the "new world" from England in the 1600's
by then Governor Endicott of the Massachusetts Bay Colony Plantation.
It's growth still continues and bears fruit.

poor thing all contained in a too small cage! I am assuming it is caged to protect it from marauding humans? Great shot!
